Help and support

Questions, a bug, or a thought about Remi? Email corey@sprout.works. Include your iPhone model, iOS version, Remi version and what happened. Please leave private memories out of screenshots unless they're needed to explain the problem.

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

There's no separate Remi account. You can capture and search locally; your memories sync through your own iCloud when it's available. Claude sorting, answers and web briefings are optional and need an internet connection. Remi requires iOS 26 or later. Apple's on-device AI depends on your device and Apple Intelligence availability; simple sorting remains available when it isn't.

How do I save a thought?

Tap Talk and speak, then tap Done. You can also type, paste, take a photo, choose up to ten photos, or share text, a link or an image from another app. Find what you've saved in Days, browse it in Jars, or ask. Your original words stay with the memory, and a spoken one keeps its recording so you can play it back.

The microphone isn't working. What can I try?

Open Remi and grant microphone permission. If you declined it, open iPhone Settings and find Remi's microphone permission. The on-device speech model may need an initial download, so try with a connection and available storage. Type the thought while speech isn't available. For Control Center or Action Button recording, grant permission in the app first; after a background capture, open Remi to file it.

What if saving fails?

Keep the draft open, make space on the phone and try Done again. If the share sheet says a note couldn't be added, keep it open and retry. Don't delete or reinstall Remi while trying to recover a capture: that can remove local drafts and pending captures. Contact support if the problem continues.

Why are my memories not syncing?

Check that you're signed in to the same Apple Account on both devices, that iCloud is enabled for Remi, and that iCloud and the phone have available storage. Give both devices a connection and open Remi. A new photo or a deletion can take time to arrive. Don't delete the app or reset its iCloud data to force a sync.

Can I use Remi without Claude?

Yes. Choose Use on-device sorting when asked, or turn Smart sorting and answers off in Settings. Local capture, basic sorting and search remain available. Claude can fall back to on-device sorting if it's offline or a usage limit is reached. You can correct a memory's title, details, kind and date.

How does Apple Reminders work?

Turn on Apple Reminders in Settings and grant access if you want to-dos and things to buy to appear there too. Remi adds them to your existing lists and links what it sends, so checking one off in either app checks it off in both. Turning it off stops Remi reading or sending reminders; it doesn't delete items already created in Apple Reminders.

What do link previews and place cards need?

Link previews need a connection to the saved website. Place cards look up a saved name and area in Apple Maps. Both work independently of the Claude setting. How far? asks for location permission and calculates distance on the phone; a map can still work without that permission. If a preview or place lookup fails, your saved words and link remain available. Use Remind me on a memory to choose a notification time; notification permission is needed to receive it.

How do I export or delete my memories?

Use Export in Settings to share a JSON file of your captures, images, recordings and memories. Keep that file somewhere you trust. Delete everything asks for typed confirmation and reports if it can't finish. Other devices need to sync to receive deletion. Copies you exported, reminders already sent to Apple Reminders and content previously sent to a separate AI provider need their own deletion steps.

See the privacy policy for what each optional connection shares.
